Welcome Receptions Poolside can lit up the night! It doesn’t get more grand than a swoon-worthy event at the Boca Resort & Club, an iconic hotel designed by renowned architect Addison Mizner in Boca Raton, Florida. The sprawling resort, which has been nicknamed the “Pink Lady” for its historic pink color, sits on 356 acres and offers endless spaces for an event. From opulent ballrooms to the Spa Pallazo, with offers access to their pool and lush gardens, the resort has been a go-to spot for celebrations and events of every kind.
Events & Logistics recently created an over-the-top corporate welcome reception for more than 500 guests, where we transformed the resort’s oceanfront pool into an elegant event space. This was not your typical corporate party — we wanted it to be exciting with many unexpected elements that would engage the guests throughout the evening.
For this nighttime soiree, creative lighting was everything. We used a variety of lights to create ambiance, and literally, lit up the night in every way possible. More than 300 white lanterns danced across the pool area, along with seven white spandex panels that added a modern flair.
The pool, which was the event’s focal point, was accented with hundreds of twinkling white bee lights — it almost looked as if it was mirroring the stars above. People couldn’t take their eyes off the pool!
The night was truly about entertainment and every single performance was better than the last. Since it was all about lighting up the night, fire dancers brought the heat and dazzled the crowd with their daring moves. From flame throwing to poi dancing, hiring a fire performer can add an element of surprise to any event, especially poolside or beach parties.
Since the pool was the center of attention, we added entertainment in the pool as well. Five synchronized swimmers put on a show for the crowd, flipping and dancing through the water. The aquatic ballet is another unique way to add elegance to your event, and it’s something most people haven’t seen outside of watching the Olympics on television!
Adding to the performances, were belly dancers donning flowing, eye-catching costumes. Between the luxe location, enhanced lighting and the exciting entertainment, these corporate guests were blown away by this unconventional welcome party!
