Taking Events New Heights!
When most people think of seeing Miami, they instantly think of sinking their toes into the sugary sands of South Beach. But one of the best ways to truly experience the energy of our city is from above — and there’s a great new rooftop spot to get a birds-eye view of all the action!
My event planning company recently hosted an event called “Partico Italiano,” which was a “thank you” party for our local hoteliers, at the new Centro Storico. The Italian restaurant recently took over the iconic David’s Cafe location at 11th and Collins Avenue, which is now being dubbed “Miami’s Italian Food District.” While Centro Storico serves up a lot of Italian charm, it also offers a quaint rooftop with amazing vistas of Collins Avenue and all the bustling activity of South Beach. With views that really wow guests —it’s a fantastic place to host an event — plus, there’s just something sexy about partying under the night sky! Taking Events to New Heights!
Guests were greeted with welcome drinks and the DJ kicked off the night with “Mambo Italiano” and quickly switched to lively, upbeat tunes. Just like in Italy, the party was all about sharing delicious food. Guests noshed on Italian specialties like margherita and Diavola pizzas, Sorrento lemon chicken, pasta with a Napoletana sauce and more. And who doesn’t love a photo opp these days? Guests were encouraged to take a photo with Italian mustaches, chef hats and sunglasses with their friends and colleagues.
Since the element of surprise is always a great way to keep party goers engaged throughout an event, our guests were asked to select a numbered wine cork from a large brandy snifter, and during the night, numbers were called out to win a wonderful bottle of Italian red wine. You can bet everyone was paying attention to this giveaway! Guests also left with lovely parting gifts of “Grow Your Own Italian Herbs” and a mason jar filled with Italian red peppers. A special takeaway gift is a way for guests to always remember your event and hopefully, what an amazing time they had. As the Italians say, “That’s amore!”
